WATCH| After Manali, Maskless Tourists Throng Mussoorie's Kempty Falls, People Fear Third Wave
On Wednesday, a video of hundreds of visitors bathing at Mussoorie's Kempty Falls leaked on the internet and quickly went popular on social media.
Mussoorie: Not even a week before, as #Manali was trending for tourists, Netizens continue to troll tourists who were seen bathing at Mussoorie’s Kempty falls in a viral video.
Tourists flocked to Mussoorie and Nainital, two of Uttarakhand's most popular vacation spots, once Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, in a situation that was eerily identical to Himachal Pradesh. People flocked to the hills to escape the heat of the plains, which resulted in overcrowding in hotels and long lines of automobiles on the streets.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, a video of hundreds of visitors bathing at Mussoorie's Kempty Falls appeared on the internet and quickly went popular on social media. As people congregated at the popular tourist attraction, social distance was definitely thrown out the window. There was not a single individual wearing a mask.
Mohit Gulati, (@Desi Mojito), posted the short clip-on twitter while it has also been shared by several other pages.
When the video went viral, it enraged a lot of people. People flouting Covid-19 regulations enraged social media users. Here is how they reacted:
While sharing the video, a user wrote, “Not so empty Kempty falls in Mussoorie! What’re your views on this? And then they gonna blame doctors and government. Good going people. I would request all the doctors to keep this video with you all and then when the time comes directly show them this video. They don’t have any rights now to question you and the government."
Whereas, another sarcastically wrote, “sorry to say this but we deserve a third wave.”One person replied, “Have they forgot the months of April and May, the suffering, the fight for breath, struggle for life. Perhaps they were the ones who never experienced such things, they were lucky somehow. But this is disastrous.”
Kuldi Bazar and Mall Road in Mussoorie are notoriously busy. Due to an increase in the number of tourists, Nainital experienced a similar issue.
Apart from Uttarakhand, more than five lakh visitors visited Himachal Pradesh after the Covid regulations were lifted.
