Vizag Gas Leak HIGHLIGHTS: 11 people have been reported dead so far, while 800 people have been admitted in hospitals,after the LG Polymers mishap. PM Modi spoke to CM Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy and is holding a meeting with officials from MHA and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) regarding the gas leakage mishap at LG Polymers Industries in Visakhapatnam. President Ram Nath Kovind and other leaders expressed condolences over the mishap that has killed eight people and made hundreds sick.

Vizag Gas Leak HIGHLIGHTS: PM Modi spoke with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy about the situation in Visakhapatnam where a gas leak was reported today from a chemical plant, LG Polymers Industries.

Modi informed through a tweet that he has spoken with the CM and has been assured that all help will be given to those who have been affected by the tragedy. He also said that the situation is being closely monitored by the government and that it was discussed with officials of MHA and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The Prime Minister has also wished for everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K. Palaniswami here on Thursday condoled death several person owing to the gas leak at LG Polymers' India plant in Visakhapatnam. Palaniswami said he was grieved on hearing about death of several people in a gas leak at a chemical factory in Andhra Pradesh.

Indian Navy teams with about 50 breathing sets and associated portable air compressor rushed to help villagers affected by the gas leak near the LG Polymers Industry in Vizag during the wee hours of Thursday. The Indian Navy has provided five Portable Multifeed Oxygen Manifolds sets to the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to help the medical administration in tendering the villagers affected due to gas leak.
