The incident occurred in the Uttar Pradesh district of Sitapur. The patient and his family had just left the district hospital, where doctors had told them he was suffering from a heart attack. They were forced to come to a halt because Umesh Mishra had left his WagonR car parked on the road.
Suresh Chandra died inside the ambulance, writhing in pain after the ambulance could not move for more than 30 minutes. When confronted, the BJP leader became enraged and began hurling expletives.
