CM Akhilesh Yadav to campaign for 'rape' accused MLA Gayatri Prajapati
Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party leader Gayatri Prajapati, who has been accused of horrendous crime, which is raping a woman and her young daughter, is still scott free. In fact, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is all set to campaign for his ‘accused’ MLA on Monday.
Even though an FIR has already been lodged against him post SC order, no arrests have been made so far.
Prajapati, who has been calling the whole incident as a political vendetta against him in the wake of UP elections; shows no remorse or regret for the shameful crime which was reported three years ago.
What the complainant report?
A 35-year-old woman had accused Prajapati of raping her when she met him almost three years ago. He also took some obscene photos of the victim and then threatened her that he would make the photos public and raped her for the past two years, according to the complaint
The woman, who is from Chitrakoot, alleged she was raped by Prajapati and others for three years on the pretext of getting a plum position within the Samajwadi Party. She has also alleged her daughter was sexually harassed too.
“I was silent for 3 years but spoke out when he started laying hands on my daughter” said the woman. “Have been silent because he took my obscene pictures and threatened me for very long” she added.
