UP woman faces Nida Khan horror for fighting against triple talaq

Uttar Pradesh: A woman staying in Barailey had to bear the brunt of raising her voice against triple talaq. Over 20 people entered Nida Khan’s house on Thursday and created a ruckus. Nida, who is a daughter-on-law of Ala Hazrat Khan, happens to be a known and prominent face in the city. Nida has been fighting a case against triple talaq from past one year. As per a complaint filed by her, over 20 people entered her house, broke the furniture and hurled abuses and threats. Speaking on the matter Nida said, “I am married into a very dominating family. First they threatened my brother in open and then 2-25 people entered my house and misbehaved with the whole family”. Nida Khan married Shiran Raza Khan 2 years ago. She had accused her husband of thrashing her and kicking her out of the house. He later gave her triple-talaq. As per Nida’s complain, she also had to face a miscarriage because of the thrashing from her husband. Nida claims that her husband didn’t give her the alimony and didn’t return the dowry she gave him at the time of the marriage. The matter is currently in court. Nida had returned from the hearing when the miscreants entered her house and created ruckus. “They were trying to scare me and create a threat in our minds” claimed Nida. Nida, who has been strongly fighting the case, had earlier been threatened to throw acid on her face outside the court. She has also sought help from deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya in the case.
