Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey triggers outrage in India for posing with anti-brahmin poster; Here's how people react
In the picture, chief of the platform can be seen posing with other women and holding a placard that reads: ‘Smash Brahminical patriarchy’.
SHOCKING! A "smash Brahmanical" poster on proud display during @Twitter CEO @jack visit to India. Is this demonology of Brahmins by foreign #BreakingIndiaForces acceptable? Is it hate speech?
— Rajiv Malhotra (@RajivMessage) November 19, 2018
This is a pure hate poster targeting an ethnic group. Does it not violate Twitter policies? Would @jack hold up a poster like this targeting Jews or Muslim mullahs or Church patriarchy?

Hi @jack I wonder if you're aware of the statement you're making by holding that poster. Are you against "Brahmins"? Are they the sole perpetrators of patriarchy? Why come into an unknown country (to you) and get used as a proxy by vested interests?

Appalled and astonished at the crude and offensive poster that is being held up.
It is a shame that the head of a social media company should do so. Behavior like this is one of the many reasons SM needs to be regulated. — Subhash Kak (@subhashkak1) November 19, 2018
Would he have held a placard with Stop Kamma Patriarchy against the wrong doings at Karamchedu if someone had given it ?

Do you realise that this picture has potential of causing communal riots at a time when several States are going to Assembly Elections in India. Even now an apology is not offered. Actually its a fit case for registration of a criminal case for attempt to destablise the nation.

Can @jack CEO @twitter be booked under Indian laws promoting castism, holding poster that promotes racist attitude against Brahmins who are always at receiving end.@IABM24x7, @ippatel, @vibhor_anand, @TajinderBagga #RacistJack

Will @jack ever dare to hold a a placard saying "smash Islamic patriarchy and misogyny " or does he love having his head on his neck too much

Recently two high profile visitors failed to impress India as they were not knowing what they are doing here. Canada Prime Minister #JustineTrudeau#Jack

Even the Former Infosys director TV Mohandas Pai accused the Twitter CEO of participating in a hate campaign against Brahmins. Here's what he tweeted:Don't expect this from you @jack. The group standing with you working day & night to destabilized my country. Brahmins are known for their contribution not only to India but to the world. Please ask @sundarpichai, the Brahmin.

Indian Twitter users questioned Dorsey for holding such a poster which targets one group considering he had not made any such statements through the visit. Earlier this month, the Twitter founder even met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The two discussed the importance of social media platforms in today's time and also reportedly discussed about company's investment plans in India. As an Indian I am disappointed at Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey's 'Smash Brahminical Patriarchy' placard - will Minister @Ra_THORe pl take action for this hate mongering against an Indian community, spreading hatred? @PMOIndia @rsprasad https://t.co/TMae3DbNXa
