Tripura CM Biplab Deb to distribute 50,000 ducks; says 'they will increase Oxygen levels'

As per the CM, they don’t only increase the beauty of the place, but also has other benefits like –recycling of water and their swimming increases oxygen levels in the water bodies.

New Delhi: Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb, who is known for making ‘intelligent’ remarks on Tuesday made yet another and said that ‘ducks rise the oxygen level in water’. As per the CM, they don’t only increase the beauty of the place, but also has other benefits like –recycling of water and their swimming increases oxygen levels in the water bodies. Biplab Dev said, he therefore wants to distribute ducks among villages in the state as they would increase rural economy. “I have announced today that the people shall be distributed 50,000 ducks. When 50,000 safe ducks would roam around in Neermahal Lake, it would look very beautiful” he said. Deb was addressing an inaugural event of a traditional boat race at Rudrasagar, an artificial lake around water palace Neermahal, when he made the statement.
