Rajasthan: Doctor Couple Shot Dead In Broad Daylight; Murder Caught On CCTV

The victims have been identified as Sudeep Gupta and his wife Seema Gupta, both medical doctors by profession.

Jaipur: In shocking incident, a doctor couple was shot dead inside their car in broad daylight on Friday by unknown bikers in Bharatpur. The bodies have been kept at the RBM Hospital in Bharatpur.

The police have a launched a probe to identify and nab the assailants.

The victims have been identified as Sudeep Gupta and his wife Seema Gupta, both medical doctors by profession. The couple were in their car when two bike-borne miscreants stopped in front of them, one when to the driver's window most likely Dr. Sudeep Gupta and started firing on them indiscriminately then turned to Dr. Seema Gupta and fired shots, leaving both dead on the spot. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV in the area. 

"We have identified the accused. Investigation revealed that one of the accused is brother of the 2019 incident's victim, who was murdered. Search underway," said police according to ANI.

Since the incident was reported the law and order situation in the state has been questions under the ruling Congress government. Rajasthan BJP chief Satish Poonia said, "Yesterday night there was an attack on an MP and today a doctor couple was shot dead in broad daylight. The Chief Minister should strengthen law and order in the state or else people will take to the streets to protest against the pathetic law and order situation in Rajasthan."
