Smriti Irani's Instagram retort! Here's why Union Minister posted this picture

The women in the picture above reminds us of a decade old blockbuster daily soapand she is none other than the incumbent Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani.

New Delhi: The women in the picture above reminds us of a decade old blockbuster daily soap – Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi – and she is none other than the incumbent Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani. But what make netizens higgledy-piggledy is the fact that why is the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lawmaker, who played the lead role of Tulsi in the daily soap, instagramming the picture now? Well for those who couldn’t decode the caption she put – ‘’Hum bolega to bologe ki bolta hai" (If I speak, you will say I am speaking), recall her recent analogy over the controversy and ongoing unrest in Kerala regarding entry of women into Sabrimala Temple. This is what she had said – “I am nobody to speak against the Supreme Court verdict as I am a serving cabinet minister. But just plain common sense is that would you carry a napkin seeped with menstrual blood and walk into a friend’s house. You would not.” “And would you think it is respectful to do the same when you walk into the house of god? That is the difference. I have the right to pray, but no right to desecrate. That is the difference that we need to recognise and respect,” Irani said. As soon as the image was posted – in which she can be seen tied up with ropes with a cloth around her mouth – the social media platform exploded with laughter and praises for tongue-in-cheek response of Irani for people who misunderstood her statement and started criticising her. Here is Smriti Irani's Instagram post that went viral and how:
