UP Election: Six Policemen Suspended For Raising Slogans Of 'Jayant Chaudhary Zindabad' In Rampur - WATCH

Six policemen from Rampur have been suspended for raising the slogan 'Jayant Chaudhary Zindabad' outside jail premises. The jail administration took this action as it is not allowed to give political slogans when the model code of conduct is in place.
The matter came to light when a video went viral where the six policemen were seen shouting the slogan on the occasion of Republic Day. The constables have been suspended after the report was sent to IG Prison Lucknow for departmental action.
These police persons were dancing to the tune of patriotic songs on Republic Day. After this, a policeman gave the slogan of 'Jayant Chaudhary Zindabad'. The policemen present there also supported him. After coming to the notice of the viral video, the jail administration has taken action against the constables.

At the same time, it is being reported that 'action has been taken against the soldiers for raising political slogans'. It has to be noted that for 403 assembly seats in UP, voting is to be held in 7 phases.
