Sex-For-Job Scandal: 'Ramesh Jarakiholi May Kill me', Victim Writes To Karnataka HC Seeking Protection

The woman in a letter sent by email to Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka, has also asked him to monitor the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the matter.

In what may further embarrass former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi against whom an FIR has already been registered in the sex-for-job scandal, the woman allegedly involved in the controversy has asked the Karnataka High Court to direct the state government to provide her protection.

As per the letter, she has been receiving threats allegedly from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader.

The woman in a letter sent by email to Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court, Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka, has also asked him to monitor the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the matter.

Alleging Jarkiholi is colluding with the SIT to influence the probe, the woman stated the former is a highly influential person who is capable of going to “any extent” to get a clean chit in the matter.

“Ramesh Jarakiholi may kill me at any place at any point in time and destroy every piece of evidence regarding commission of offenses by him. And, the SIT is completely acting to the tunes of Ramesh Jarakiholi...,” the woman said in her letter, adding the statements made by her parents that she was kidnapped are ‘baseless” as they were severely pressured to make such statements.

Jarkiholi, who resigned earlier this month in the wake of the controversy, has urged the SIT to first investigate the FIR registered against him.

In the video clip which went viral earlier this month, Jarkiholi can be seen seeking sexual favours from an unidentified woman with the offer of a government job. The video went viral after several Kannada television channels aired the images from the alleged 'sex CD' that claimed to have the BJP leader in a compromising position with the woman.
