Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad engages in another spat, this time with cops

Mumbai:  Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad won’t relent. The ‘rowdy’ MP who was very recently making headlines after he thrashed an Air India employee with his shoe, once again engaged in a verbal spat; this time with a cop. According to the police, Gaikwad had a very heated argument with police over non-functioning of ATMs at Latur in Marathwada region. It was Gaikwad’s hard luck, that the video of this fight has also made it to the social media and is going viral. In the video, Gaikwad can be seen arguing with a police officer, during a protest over non-functioning ATMs at Latur. Series of events: Gaikwad, is a Lok Sabha member from Osmanabad constituency, reached Latur on Wednesday and had sent his aide to withdraw money from an ATM. However, the aide returned empty-handed, saying the ATM had run out of cash. This happened with a few other ATMs, post which Sena MP got furious and prompted him to stage a protest with his supporters outside an ATM. What should we do? Gikwad thereafter went ahead and took a jibe at the central government saying      “They (the BJP-led government) asked us to give them 50 days (after demonetisation, for normalisation of financial transactions). We gave them 100 days, then 200 days. It is the job of the (Union) Finance Minister and the Finance Minister of Maharashtra. It is also the job of the Guardian Minister of Latur district to rectify the situation." Gikwad apologises to the parliament: Days after Sena MP thrashed Air India staffer, he issued an apology in the Parliament for his abrasive act in an Air India flight, but said he wouldn’t apologise to the Air India staffer. He said he thrashed the staffer for denying him a business class seat.
