Sambhal, UP: 30-yr-old gang-raped at her residence & brunt alive

Sambhal (UP): In an heart-wrenching incident, a 30-year-old woman was burnt alive after having been raped allegedly by five persons in Gunnaur area here the police said. The incident took place on Friday night when the victim was in her house with her daughter, when five persons barged into her residence and allegedly raped her. The cops have so far arrested two accused in the case. The police said that an FIR has been registered against five persons including Aram Singh, Mahaveer, Charan Singh, Gullu and Bhona. The five later took her to a nearby hut and burnt her alive said Gunnaur Circle Officer Aqil Ahmad, quoting from the complaint lodged by the victim's husband. As per sources, the woman had dialled 100 on her phone, seeking help from the police, but she didn’t receive any. The body of the victim has been sent for autopsy and the police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused, who are absconding.
