Sabarimala temple case: Shocking Twitter reactions on Supreme Court's verdict to allow women entry in Kerala's Ayyappa temple
Sabarimala temple verdict: Some people have welcomed the verdict and are lauding the apex court's decision, while there is a section of society which has been left disappointed. Here's how the Twitterati reacted the Supreme Courts order.
Twitterati who laud the verdict-
#Sabarimala Every human,of whichever faith, has the right to worship. The reason was practical during the days of yore as there were no proper roads & there were wild animals. Also after 41 days of abstinence, the possibility of rape. Times ve changed now. God is above patriarchy

Earlier on #Section377 , #Section497 and now #Sabarimala verdict, we are blessed we live in democratic country where societal democracy is being preserved by Supreme Court.

It's so funny to see so many people offended by the #SabarimalaVerdict and calling it rotten. Everything needs to blend with changing times. So why are people crying in the name of age old traditions? #Sabarimala Can we wake up? It's 2018. Please.

Religion must evolve with time or it becomes a burden. #ThankYouSC #Sabarimala

On a killing spree SC acknowledges the entry of menstruating women into#Sabarimala thereby lifting a centurues old unconstitutional and mysogynist tradition. This is what we have been waiting for!!

Twitterati who don't support the SC verdict -
Hugely disappointed with the SC judgement not only on Sabarimala but on recent judgements they made. The judgments are all against natural / religious belief and common sense.#Sabarimala

#SabrimalaVerdict For once, I cant agree with the SC. Traditions have values enshrined going back centuries. Unless a tradition violates someone's dignity and discriminates negatively(I believe #Sabarimala did not), it is not upto the Constitution-judiaciary/legislature 2 intrfr

#Sabarimala I am not unduly worried about the temple. My God is far more powerful. But worried about the general inconsistency and mindset in the Hon'ble SC

Supreme Court's 5 Judge Bench yesterday held that Adultery is no more a crime and struck down S. 497 of IPC. Today another Constitutional bench allowed entry of women at Sabarimala. Don't know what's happening. Hope that #Sabarimala would applicable for for mosques too.

The Supreme Court has now opened the gates of the Sabarimala Temple in Kerala dedicated to Lord Ayyappa to the women in the age group of 10-50, saying it was violative of their fundamental rights and constitutional guarantees.Gents will prefer not to go to #sabarimala if the #SupremeCourt order is implemented. The order is not a progressive one as #fakedevotees &some feminists media anchors and NGO's claimed. We expect, as told by @RahulEaswar , will file a review petition immdtly to protect devotees
