Republic Day 2023: Full Dress Rehearsals Underway At Delhi's Kartavya Path — Watch

On Saturday morning, full dress rehearsals for Republic Day 2023 Parade were being held at Delhi's Kartavya Path, Delhi.

As Delhi battled chilly winter morning, full dress rehearsals for Republic Day 2023 Parade were conducted in the early hours of Saturday in Kartavya Path. Different contingents showcased their might at Kartavya Path as they marched along the tunes played by the bands.

A video of this rehearsal was posted by ANI. Have a look at the video below.

The three-minute video posted by ANI started off with a contingent of Indian Coast Guards marching forward in sync while they played instruments. The second contingent that followed them was also of Coast Guards which was followed by the Delhi Police. The first contingent of Delhi Police consisted of band members playing the tunes. The second contingent that followed them was of female officers of Delhi Police.

The rehearsals for Republic Day Parade are underway in full swing. Every Defense organisation of our nation, be it the Indian Army, Paramilitary forces such as Assam Rifles, or Protection forces such as Railway Protection Force shows their might to the nation.

India will celebrate its 74th Republic Day on January 26, 2023. After a couple of years following covid protocols, Republic Day this year will showcase charming tableaus (Jhanki) from different states in front of a large crowd of people at Kartavya Path, earlier, Rajpath, and will also have the chief guest.

It has been an ongoing tradition to invite foreign dignitaries for Republic Day. President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has been invited to attend the grand Republic Day celebration of India. The 68-year-old chief guest, who is also a retired military officer, was re-elected as the president of Egypt in 2018 and has been serving as the president of Egypt since 2014. This is the first time a leader from Egypt will be the chief guest.
