New Delhi: While the country celebrates the 73rd Republic Day, the security personnel are celebrating the day in their own ways. One among them was Constable Vikram Jeet Singh from the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) sang a beautiful rendition of the song ‘Kar Chale Hum Fida’ in a video shared by the official Twitter handle of ITBP.
In the video, Constable Vikram Jeet can be seen sitting in his uniform and singing the song filling it with his patriotism and the melody of his voice.
In the tweet, ITBP wrote, “कर चले हम फिदा जानो तन साथियों, अब तुम्हारे हवाले वतन साथियों… Constable Vikram Jeet Singh of ITBP sings on #RepublicDay2022 #RepublicDay #Himveers.”
The song is based on a poem written by Kaifi Azmi later sung by the evergreen singer Mohammad Rafi for the 1964 film Haqeeqat. The song describes the last message of a soldier to his countrymen.
The video of the ITBP Constable went viral in a few hours and surely adds to the enthusiasm of the people of the country who were not able to attend the Republic Day parade in person due to covid-19 related restrictions.
This year only 6,000 people were allowed to attend the parade with the condition of showing full vaccine certification. The seating arrangement for the parade was done keeping in mind the social distancing rules.
