New Delhi: The day marks the 73rd Republic Day of India commemorating the day when India’s constitution came into effect. To celebrate the same, Google has dedicated its doodle of the day to the Indian republic.

Today’s google doodle represents the different cultures of the country by making all the letters of the word ‘GOOGLE’ look different. The elements which are represented in today’s doodle include, from left to right, parade animals: an elephant, a horse, a dog, a camel; a red tabla; the parade path; a saxophone as part of the iconic camel-mounted band; doves; and the tricolors of the national flag.

The animals mentioned above are incorporated in the big ‘G’ of Google, followed by a tabla at the place of first ‘O’. The next ‘O’ is the parade path which is followed by a saxophone as the next ‘G’. The ‘L’ and ‘E’ represent the tricolor national flag of India with doves around it.

In a manner, the google doodle incorporates the elements of the tricolor as well. When one clicks on the doodle, it takes them to a new window where one can get all the updates of Republic Day.

The new window provides information about the significance of the day as well as the recent updates on the occasion.

If one visits the Google Doodle page, the information regarding the doodle, its significance, and the early draft of the doodle can be seen along with the previous years’ doodles.

“Today’s Doodle celebrates India’s Republic Day, commemorating 72 years since the Indian Constitution took effect and the nation completed its transition to an independent republic,” says the google doodle page.
