A day after a Gujarat Court sentenced Rahul Gandhi to two years in prison for defaming PM Modi by making a comment about his family name, Nadda said that Gandhi's level of understanding is very small.
A day after a Gujarat Court sentenced Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to two years in prison for defaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi by making a comment about his family name, Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda slammed Rahul Gandhi and said that Rahul Gandhi's ego is very big and his level of understanding is very small. Nadda further said that the Congress leader has insulted the OBC community for his political gains.
Nadda took to Twitter and said, "Rahul Gandhi's ego is very big and understanding is very small. For his political gains, he insulted the entire OBC community and called them a thief. He also ignored the option of repeatedly explaining and apologising by the society and the court and continuously hurt the sentiments of the OBC community."
Continuing his attack on Rahul Gandhi, Nadda said that by comparing OBC communities to thieves Rahul Gandhi has shown a pathetic and casteist mindset.
"By comparing OBC communities to thieves, Mr. RahulGandhi has shown a pathetic and casteist mindset. However, his latest tirade is not surprising. For the last many years he has always reduced levels of political discourse. Let me explain how in the thread below," Nadda said in a series of tweets.

Talking about the issue of Rafale jets raised by Rahul Gandhi before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Nadda said that Rahul Gandhi ’s negative politics and cooked up Rafale scam faced a setback in the court of law. "Mr. Rahul Gandhi ’s negative politics and cooked up Rafale scam faced a setback in the court of law. Our highest court of the land, the Honourable Supreme Court gave a very clear verdict on the Rafale issue and did not believe the corruption bogey Mr. Gandhi raised," Nadda said.

"In the run up to 2019 polls, RahulGandhi kept repeating - Chowkidar Chor Hai notwithstanding the harm he was doing to political discourse. He went on ranting against PM @narendramodi even if it meant he was defeated in his own seat and his party wiped out nationally," BJP National President said in another tweet.
So much for Chowkidar Chor Hai that neither Congress leaders nor Congress allies appreciated this deep slander against PM @narendramodi. Infact, this issue was also taken up in CWC where the senior Congress leaders even supposedly expressed their unhappiness on it.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav also slammed Rahul Gandhi and said that he insulted our judicial system and defamed the nation on foreign soil. No politician has the right to insult the OBC community.
"Rahul Gandhi insulted our judicial system. He defamed the nation on foreign soil. No politician has the right to insult the OBC community. This behaviour of the leader shows Bharat Todo, not Bharat Jodo. Congress is questioning the legal decision. Insulting any surname is not freedom of speech," Bhupender Yadav said as quoted by the news agency ANI.
