'Rahul Gandhi not getting married': Robert Vadra slams website for fake news

Aditi spoke to a daily when the rumours gained ground during Karnataka elections. "I am really saddened by the way such baseless rumours are being spread. Rahul ji is like an elder brother to me. I ritualistically tie rakhi on his hands. Those behind the link up are absolutely wrong and aimed to malign my image and that of Rahul Gandhi ji."

New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi is not getting married, confirmed brother-in-law Robert Vadra through his Twitter handle on Wednesday. A news website had carried an article on the Congress President’s wedding later this year. Vadra said the article was fake and urged people to stop sending him messages congratulating Gandhi. “We do not adopt any clandestine ways, and will be very proud to disclose when Rahul makes his personal decision,"he added. There were rumours floating on social media and Whatsapp that Congress MLA Aditi Singh and Rahul Gandhi were going to get hitched. The speculations gained ground after their alleged pictures went viral. The Rae Bareli legislator spoke to a daily when the rumours gained ground during Karnataka elections. "I am really saddened by the way such baseless rumours are being spread. Rahul ji is like an elder brother to me. I ritualistically tie rakhi on his hands. Those behind the link up are absolutely wrong and aimed to malign my image and that of Rahul Gandhi ji." She also tweeted: Such rumours upset me. I would like to clarify that Rahul Ji is my rakhi brother and I am really saddened by such rumours on social media.”
