No Matter How Arrogant He Is, PM Modi Is Just A Citizen, Not Entire India: Rahul Gandhi In Wayanad
Addressing a gathering in Kerala's Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi said that he was not scared of the BJP, RSS or the police.
Launching a scathing attack on Narendra Modi, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Monday said the PM was just a citizen and not entire India. Addressing a gathering in Kerala's Wayanad, Gandhi said he would always stand for truth and not be intimidated by cases filed against him, ANI reported.
"There is confusion in the minds of the PM, BJP and RSS. They think that they themselves are India. PM is one Indian citizen, not entire India, no matter how arrogant he is or what he thinks. No way an attack on PM, BJP or RSS is an attack on India," ANI quoted the Wayanad MP as saying.
The Congress leader further said that he was not scared of the BJP, RSS or the police.
"No matter how many cases are filed against me or how many times you send police to my home and insult me, I will still fight for the truth. Those who always lie won't be able to understand honest people," he said.
The former Congress chief's remarks come in the wake of Delhi Police reaching his residence on Sunday to inquire about his "women are still being sexually assaulted" statement made during the Bharat Jodo Yatra in J&K.
The Wayanad MP was speaking after handing over keys of new homes provided to several families in the district.
Earlier in the day, Gandhi exuded confidence about "sweeping" the upcoming Karnataka assembly elections and wooed the youth with promises of unemployment allowance and filling up of vacancies in government jobs.
Taking a swipe at the BJP-led government at the Centre, Gandhi said, "The Bharat Jodo Yatra sent out a message that this country belongs to everyone, not just to select two to three, not Adaniji's (industrialist Gautam Adani). This country belongs to farmers, labourers, the poor and youth."
Training his guns on the Basavaraj Bommai-led BJP government, Gandhi called it the "most corrupt in the country" and a "40 per cent commission government".
"We will fight the election together. All Congress leaders will fight together. Congress will sweep this election, because the BJP government is a 40 per cent commission government, and the people of Karnataka want to get rid of this government. They want a government that will work for poor, downtrodden, middle class, small traders," Gandhi further said.
