Kejriwal questions PM Modi over Hollande's revelation to media on Rafale row
Rafale controversy: Delhi CM raised 3 questions in front of PM Modi, asking what is the nature of his relationship with Anil Ambani.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday took on Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the ongoing controversy on Rafale deal. CM also sought three questions from the PM over the same via his Twitter handle.
Questioning and pointing out fingers at the government, Kejriwal said “Three questions from PM Modi:
- Why did you give this order to Anil Ambani only?
- Anil Ambani has said that he has personal relationship with you, is this relation professional as well?
- In whose pockets did the money which came from Rafale deal go? Yours, BJP’s or someone else’s?
Even Congress President Rahul Gandhi lashed out at PM Modi after , Dassault Aviation denied involvement in choosing Indian partners and accused PM Modi of betraying India.PM
The PM personally negotiated & changed the #Rafale deal behind closed doors. Thanks to François Hollande, we now know he personally delivered a deal worth billions of dollars to a bankrupt Anil Ambani.
The PM has betrayed India. He has dishonoured the blood of our soldiers. — Rahul Gandhi (@RahulGandhi) September 21, 2018 "We did not have a say in that. The Indian government proposed this service group, and Dassault negotiated with Ambani. We did not have a choice, we took the interlocutor who was given to us. That's why on the other hand, this group did not have to give me any thanks for anything. I could not even imagine that there was any connection to a film by Julie Gayet," Hollande said. Hollande’s reported statement contradicts Indian government’s claim that the agreement between Dassault and Reliance was a commercial pact between two private parties and the government had nothing to do with it.
