Security has been heightened outside industrialist Mukesh Ambani's house Antilia after a car with gelatin sticks, an explosive material, inside it was found parked on Carmichael Road in Mumbai on Thursday evening. 


Security agencies have become alert after the incident and providing the best security to the Amabanis.



Home minister Anil Deshmukh, in a video message, confirmed the incident and said the Mumbai Police was investigating it further. “A Scorpio with gelatin was found near Mukesh Ambani’s house. The Mumbai Police crime branch is probing the incident and the truth will be out soon,” he said.


Police said that there were 20 gelatin sticks found inside the car which can lead to a massive explosion.

Police inspecting the car said that the registration number of the vehicle was similar to that of a vehicle in the security detail of the Ambanis but it is fake and several other number plates have been found in the car. Police also found a blue bag with 'Mumbai Indians' written on it. A letter has also been recovered from the vehicle which said, "Geeta Babhi and Mukesh Bhaiya, Be alert, this is just a trailer, we have made all arrangements to blow up the whole family. Good Night"  


According to the latest reports, Over hundreds of gelatin sticks and explosives seized at Kozhikode station from Chennai-Mangaluru Superfast Express. It is yet to be ascertained if the incident is related to the Mukesh Ambani incident.


Police are questioning 9 people about the incident and all have joined the probe as witnesses.


The letter was written in wrong English and in a manner which would make the handwriting experts difficult to track the person.


According to the CCTV footage recovered by the police from a nearby shop, the vehicle was parked on the street leading to Antilia late evening on Thursday. The footage shows the vehicle being tailed by another white-colored car, which halts behind it and then passes by, while the driver inside the Scorpio continues to sit inside. 


ABP News has learned that there was no assembled explosive device, but gelatin sticks inside the green-colored vehicle.


ABP News also came to know that the suspected Scorpio car found 500 meters from Ambani's residence Antilia is surprisingly registered under Reliance Industries. However, the number plate of the car belongs to the Jaguar Land Rover model.


Mumbai police is investigating all the angles in the case that whether the incident was planned to launch an attack on the Ambanis or an attempt to scare them.
