Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed BJP workers in Delhi on Monday in an event commemorating the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. During his speech, he highlighted the crucial role of women in politics and reiterated the importance of women's reservation in the political sphere. He also spoke about secularism saying that the party's 'seva abhiyaan' of taking welfare schemes to all beneficiaries without any discrimination is "true secularism".

He emphasised that women's active participation in politics is essential for creating an inclusive society and achieving democratic integration, news agency PTI reported.

In the last nine years, we have worked towards the upliftment of those at the lowest rung of the society."

PM Modi also reminisced about the memorial built in Rajasthan during the BJP's tenure in the state, dedicated to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. He encouraged everyone to visit the memorial, emphasising its significance in commemorating the legacy of the visionary leader. I had spent some time there earlier today and I urge all of you to take some time out to visit the place," he mentioned, as per PTI.

The Prime Minister also highlighted "India has transformed its image through its potential and an Indian is now seen with respect in foreign nations. Chandrayaan mission and successful G20 Summit has added to the respect of Indians abroad."

"When efforts are made for big targets and we go ahead with everyone, the scale of our success also goes up. Public success always makes you feel more proud than individual success. Today, when India has changed its image with its capability, even a common Indian is seen respectfully abroad. After Chandrayaan-3's success, people in foreign countries are congratulating the common Indians. After G20 too, the manner in which India was appreciated has increased the respect that every Indian gets," he remarked, as per news agency ANI.
