New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a webinar today arranged by the Ministry of Education and Skill Development to share how the announcements made in Union Budget 2022 will have a 'positive impact' on the education sector. 


The Prime Minister said that the young generation is the future leader of the country. So empowering today's young generation means empowering India's future.

Stating that the Budget for 2022-23 will play a key role in implementing New Education Policy on the ground, PM Modi said that a lot of emphasis has been laid on 5 things related to the education sector. First is the Universalization of quality education, second is skill development, third is urban planning and design. The fourth is internationalisation- world-class foreign universities in India and the fifth is AVGC- Animation Visual Effects Gaming Comic.


PM Modi said, "This budget will help in implementing National Education Policy. National Digital University is an unprecedented step. The problem of shortage of seats can be resolved. There will be unlimited seats. I urge all stakeholders to ensure digital uni starts as soon as possible."


 







Be it e-Vidya, One Class One Channel, Digital Labs, Digital University, such educational infrastructure is going to help the youth a lot. This is an attempt to provide better solutions for education to all, be it villages, poor, Dalit, backward, tribal, in the socio-economic setup of India.


PM Modi also said that education in the direction of sign language is also being improved continuously so there is no digital divide. PM Modi said that digital connectivity is what kept our education system alive in this time of the global pandemic and the country is witnessing on how the digital divide is rapidly shrinking in India.


PM Modi said, "Innovation is ensuring our inclusion".


PM Modi on International Mother Language Day


Speaking on International Mother Language Day, the Prime Minister said that education in the mother tongue is related to the mental development of children. The teaching of medical and technical education in local languages has started in many states.


Ministry of Education's webinar main objective is to brainstorm with experts from all walks on how to best implement the Union Budget announcements.


The webinar will have sessions on different themes of relevance and will witness the presence of officials from various ministries and state governments, industry representatives, skill development organisations, educationists, students, and other experts.


The themes identified for this webinar are ‘Digital Teacher’, ‘Digital University’, ‘Widening reach of One Class One Channel’, ‘India Specific Knowledge in Urban Planning and Design’, ‘Towards Fostering Stronger Industry-Skill Linkage’, ‘Developing Educational Institutions in GIFT City’, and ‘Strengthening Industry-Skill Linkage in AVGC’.


Seven parallel sessions will be conducted on these themes in the webinar. The main focus of the participants of the webinar will be to come up with action points, broad strategies, and timelines for the implementation of the budget announcements.
