Plane Carrying Indians Grounded In France To Land At Mumbai Airport: Report
The plane with 300 passengers, mostly Indians, was detained by French authorities for three days over suspected human trafficking.
A plane carrying over 300 passengers, mostly Indians, which was detained by French authorities over suspected human trafficking is expected to land at Mumbai airport on Monday, reported PTI quoting sources as saying. The A340 aircraft, operated by Romania's Legend Airlines was detained for three days by French authorities is expected to land at Mumbai at around 2:20 pm, the report added.
The plane has taken off from the airport at Vatry near Paris where it was grounded.
The plane had that had taken off from Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for Nicargua with 303 passengers but was grounded at Vatry airport, 150 kilometres east of Paris, on Thursday over suspected "human trafficking."
On Sunday, the passengers were detained by four French judges for questioning and the hearings were conducted as part of the investigation opened by prosecutor's office in Paris on the suspicion of human trafficking. As per the French media, some of the passengers spoke Hindi and the others Tamil.
