Patiala Woman Arrested For Sheltering Amritpal, Aide After New CCTV Footage Of Fugitive Emerges
As per a senior police official, Amritpal Singh and his aide Papalpreet Singh had allegedly stayed at the residence of Balbir Kaur in Patiala's Hargobind Nagar on March 19.
New Delhi: A woman in Punjab’s Patiala has been arrested for allegedly giving shelter to Waris Punjab De chief Amritpal Singh and his associates, said the Punjab Police officials on Sunday, reported news agency PTI.
As per a senior police official, the fugitive Khalistani leader and his aide Papalpreet Singh had allegedly stayed at the residence of Balbir Kaur in Patiala's Hargobind Nagar on March 19.
The woman allegedly sheltered Amritpal and Papalpreet for five to six hours before they moved to Shahabad in Haryana's Kurukshetra district, the police said.

Kaur is the second woman to be apprehended in the case a woman identified as Baljit Kaur was nabbed for allegedly harbouring Amritpal and Papalpreet at her home in Shahabad.
New CCTV Footage Shows Amritpal In Jacket, Sunglasses
Meanwhile, a fresh CCTV footage has emerged showing Amritpal in jacket, trousers, and sunglasses, who was earlier seen in traditional clothes, talking on a mobile phone. As per the news agency, the purported footage was from Patiala.
In the footage, the 'Waris Punjab De' chief could also be seen holding a bag with a white cloth covering his face. Papalpreet could also be seen in the footage.

In a second footage from the same spot, a sunglass-wearing Amritpal could be seen speaking on the phone while walking on the street, as per the report.
The fugitive has been on the run since March 18 escaping police’s dragnet during a crackdown against him and elements of Waris Punjab De.
A man identified as Balwant Singh was also arrested by the police in Khanna for allegedly sheltering Amritpal's associate Tejinder Singh Gill alias Gorkha Baba.
