Panneerselvam shattering Sasikala's dream: MPs from Tuticorin, Vellore join his camp

New Delhi: Reportedly, AIADMK's Tuticorin MP Jaisingh Thiyagaraj Natterjee and Vellore MP Senguttuvan join Panneerselvam camp and with this the activity in the political corridors of Tamil Nadu has gained momentum. Two more AIADMK MPs -- Rajendran and Lakshmanan -- has extend support to Panneerselvam. Political condition in Tamil Nadu has become more intense as O Panneerselvam continuously finding support from MLAs and MPs. Meanwhile AIADMK General Secretary V.K. Sasikala may stage protest on Sunday in the state. She alleged that the Governor is purposely causing delay so that she lose support of the MLAs. She had, on Saturday, sought an appointment with Tamil Nadu Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao along with all legislators supporting her. "We were waiting patiently till this moment for a reply from the honourable Governor- Respected Chinnamma", official AIADMK twitter handle tweeted.

In a letter to Rao, copies of which were issued to the media, Sasikala said acting Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has resigned from his post and the same was accepted by the Governor a week ago. "...taking the urgency of the situation at hand, I would like to seek an appointment with Your Excellency by today with all MLAs (Members of Legislative Assembly) who extended their support to me regarding further course of action to form the Government," Sasikala told Rao. "I believe Your Excellency will act immediately to save the Sovereignty of the Constitution, democracy and the interest of the State," the letter notes. (With inputs from IANS)
