Oppn MPs Continue Sit-In Protest, INDIA Parties To Meet Kharge Tomorrow To Chalk Out Joint Strategy
Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Monday as the opposition shouted 'Modi Sarkar Shame Shame', 'PM Modi Jawab Do', 'Manipur Wants Justice' slogans.
New Delhi: After both houses of parliament were adjourned for the third consecutive day of the ongoing monsoon session, leaders of the newly formed Opposition alliance the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (I.N.D.I.A) will meet at the office of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge in Parliament on Tuesday to chalk out the strategy for the floor of the House.
Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Monday as the opposition shouted 'Modi Sarkar Shame Shame', 'PM Modi Jawab Do', 'Manipur Wants Justice' slogans. Notably, the first two days of the monsoon session last week saw a similar ruckus leading to nearly zero functioning of Parliament.
Earlier in the day, in Rajya Sabha, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar suspended Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh for the remainder of the monsoon session for “repeatedly violating” the Chair’s directives.
The opposition MPs of the Rajya Sabha staged a sit-in protest against the suspension of AAP MP Sanjay Singh.

Meanwhile, the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting will also be held on Tuesday at 9.30 am to chalk out the strategy for the Monsoon Session of the Lok Sabha.
After his suspension, the AAP MP said, “If this House is not for speaking on Manipur violence-like incidents and if they cannot give reply… I would only say that the prime minister is a shameless, coward and cruel ruler with whom we are ready to fight.”
AAP MP Raghav Chada said that the country demands that the government and PM Modi should speak on the issue of Manipur. "It is the responsibility of the Central govt to restore peace in the country. Today we are going to protest against this issue in the Parliament. Rajya Sabha Chairman should allow us to discuss on the Manipur issue," he added.
BSP Chief Mayawati tweeted that despite agreeing to discuss Manipur, it is sad and unfortunate that the time of the first two days of the current session of Parliament was wasted on the rule of law dispute. "Discussion and government statement on Manipur is necessary," she further said.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Priyanka Chaturvedi said, "We also want the House to function and we want the PM to answer (on the Manipur situation). We don't want any ruckus to be created in the Parliament."
