North East Election Results: Saffron party BJP gets massive surge in vote share in North Eastern states

North East Election Results 2018: The BJP paved its way for a landslide victory in Tripura while in Nagaland, NDPP got 16 seats while BJP got 11 seats. In Meghalaya, the Congress saw a neck-and-neck battle with the NPP (National People's Party).

• Biblab Kumar Deb is a former RSS volunteer.

• He was elected as president of state unit of BJP by state committee in January 2016.He had replaced Sudhindra Dasgupta, the longest serving president of the party.
