Bengaluru Violence: Muslim Leader From Meerut Announces Rs 51 Lakh Bounty On Karnataka Congress MLA’s Nephew For Posting Objectionable Post On Prophet Muhammad
Bengaluru Violence: A video has surfaced in which a former Samajwadi party leader Shahzeb Rizvi has announced a Rs 51 lakh bounty on the head of Naveen the nephew of the Karnataka MLA Srinivas Murthy who posted the objectionable social media post on Prophet Muhammad.
Bengaluru Violence: A video of a Muslim leader from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has surfaced in which he has announced Rs 51 lakh bounty on the head of Naveen, the nephew of Karnataka Congress MLA Srinivas Murthy. A violent mob had gone on a rampage on Tuesday night (August 11) across eastern Bengaluru after Naveen posted an objectionable Facebook post on Prophet Muhammad.
According to a report by OpIndia, the leader in the video is Shahzeb Rizvi a former Samajwadi party leader. In the 27 second video which was also reported by Times Now, he condemned Naveen's act and said that whoever beheads and brings his head will be rewarded with Rs 51 lakh. He has also appealed to the Muslim community to contribute money for this bounty. He also says that derogatory post has hurt the sentiments of the community and that is the reason he is announcing the bounty.

The report also says that Rizvi used to be the state secretary for the minority cell in the party in Uttar Pradesh but is no longer associated with any political party. He lives in Rasulpur village under Phalauda police station in Meerut. The SSP of Meerut has ordered a probe into the video.
In deadly violence in Bengaluru, around 3 people lost their lives and 60 police personnel were injured during the clashes. The Bengaluru Police on Wednesday arrested the Muzamil Pasha, leader of SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India), an outfit of Popular Front of India (PFI), for his alleged role in orchestrating the deadly mob violence in DJ Halli police station area. Section 144 that restricts large gatherings in public spaces has also been imposed DJ Halli and KG Halli police station limits till 6 am on 15th August.
