Minister Of State SP Singh Baghel Moved From Law Ministry To Health Ministry
Minister of State SP Singh Baghel to be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in place of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice.
After Kiren Rijiju, Union Minister Satya Pal Singh Baghel was removed as Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice and shifted to Union Health Ministry, according to Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson, news agency PTI reported.
This became a requirement following the appointment of Arjun Ram Meghwal as the Minister of State in charge of the Ministry of Law and Justice.
As per the norm, a department overseen by a Minister of State with individual authority typically does not require a second-in-command.
A Rashtrapati Bhavan statement stated that President Droupadi Murmu, as advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been pleased to direct that "Prof S P Singh Baghel, Minister of State be assigned as Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in place of Minister of State in the Ministry of Law and Justice."
