AIADMK Now Deleted Election Ad Creates Outcry As It Features Student Who Died By Suicide

New Delhi: AIADMK came under fire after Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Ma Foi Pandiarajan posted the new election ad which featured NEET aspirant who died by suicide in 2017.
According to an NDTV report, in the now deleted the tweet suggested that the 17 year old would have praised AIADMK's new reservation scheme. The report quoted the ad, "Never in the history of Tamil Nadu have more than 400 poor students have had the chance to study medicine. Jayalalithaa's rule has given this opportunity. Don't forgive DMK which destroyed the medical dreams of 17 students. The ink in your hand is our life." The video featured the medical aspirant who was from the Schedule Caste community.

It had been posted without my permission. Appropriate action will be taken against whoever had done it. An FIR would be filed with cyber-crime as well."
In 2017, Anitha, who had scored 1,176 marks out of 1,200 in the plus two exams under the Tamil Nadu state board, was however not able to score high marks in the NEET to secure a medical seat and committed suicide. In her petition in the apex court against NEET, Anitha had said that rural students will not be able to compete against the students from the city if a common entrance exam is held for medical college seats.
