New Delhi: Commercial LPG cylinders will now cost less as the prices have been reduced. According to an ANI report, the price of  19kg commercial LPG cylinders reduced by Rs 135 per cylinder. It will now cost Rs 2219 in Delhi. There has been no change in the rates of domestic  LPG cylinder.

The prices of both domestic and commercial LPG cylinders were hiked in the country on May 19. This was for the second time in a month when the prices of the cooking was increased. Rates of 14 kg domestic cylinder were been hiked by Rs 3.50 while that of a 19 Kg commercial LPG was increased by Rs 8 per cylinder.

It was widely speculated that Oil marketing companies might announce a price revision in LPG prices today (June 1). International oil prices have been on the rise this year, the impact of which has lately been seen in both petrol, diesel, ATF, and LPG prices. Considering the hike in international oil prices was reported that LPG prices may also be hiked from today, though nothing official was confirmed.

Meanwhile, Oil marketing companies such as Indian Oil Corporation, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation will be organising more than 5,000 LPG panchayats across the country today to celebrate Ujjwala Diwas.

Apart from experience sharing, aimed at safe and sustained usage of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), the oil marketing companies will also make efforts to maximise customer enrolment.
