Misa Bharti, Rohini Acharya To Contest LS Polls. Bihar Deputy CM Says Lalu 'Took Kidney To Give Ticket'. RJD Fumes

Lalu Yadav giving ticket to his daughters didn't go well with Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and his response sparked controversy. He said that Lalu Prasad Yadav is an expert in selling tickets.

New Delhi: The political temperature in Bihar is taking a new turn as Lalu Yadav decided to field his daughters, Misa Bharti and Rohini Acharya, as candidates for the upcoming elections from Pataliputra and Saran Lok Sabha seats, respectively. Additionally, the alliance between Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and other parties, particularly the Congress, is facing hurdles in seat-sharing negotiations, with the Congress demanding around 10 seats. Despite the stalemate, Ejaz Ahmed has expressed confidence in the alliance's unity and determination to defeat the BJP, emphasising ongoing discussions to resolve the seat-sharing deadlock.

However, Lalu Yadav giving tickets to his daughters didn't go well with Bihar Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary and his response sparked controversy. He launched a scathing attack on Lalu Yadav, saying, "Lalu Prasad (Yadav) is such a politician who is an expert in selling tickets. He has not spared his own daughter. Firstly, he took a kidney from her and then gave her the ticket."

The Bihar Deputy CM's comment ignited a controversy, with the RJD strongly condemning it. Rohini Acharya took to X and posted, "I am Lalu Ji's daughter. I will answer every baseless accusation of people with low thinking and low character in front of the public. The court of the people will decide what's right and wrong."

RJD spokesperson Ejaz Ahmad remarked that Samrat Choudhary is using very indecent language. "He himself does not know what he is saying. He was a minor and came to Lalu's place. He studied in Lalu's school and grew up. Lalu promoted him. After joining the BJP, Samrat Choudhary is promoting the politics of nepotism. Rohini Acharya gave her kidney to her father Lalu as a life-saving gift. Rohini fulfilled her duty," he said.

The announcement of Bihar's Lok Sabha elections spanning seven phases, from April 19 to June 1, 2024, with vote counting slated for June 4, sets the stage for a significant political event in the country.
