Land-For-Jobs Case

The case pertains to people allegedly given employment in the railways, during the tenure of Lalu Prasad as the Railway Minister, in return for land parcels gifted or sold at cheap rates to the Yadav family and their associates. Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejashwi Yadav, Misa Bharti reached Rouse Avenue Court in the national capital to appear in the case.

According to the CBI, the accused had allegedly collected applications and documents of such candidates through associates and then sent those to West Central Railway for processing and providing jobs in railways, and the general managers of West Central Railways, under the influence and control of the accused, accorded approval for the engagement of candidates, as reported by ANI.
