ABP News has accessed two FIR copies regarding the Khargone violence case that resulted into communal clashes.

New Delhi: As the situation in Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone continues to remain tense post the violence, it is the seventh day of curfew in the area.

Khargone is now being discussed all over the country because there was fierce violence on the day of Ram Navami on April 10.

ABP News has accessed two FIR copies regarding the Khargone violence case that resulted into communal clashes.

According to the information, a case was registered against 21 accused on the first day of the violence and two FIRs were filed in this regard, sources said.

According to the FIR, the rioters had stones, petrol bombs, rods and other useful weapons in their hands. The FIR also mentions that the procession was first pelted with stones and then there was arson.

It is being said that the miscreants looted many houses and set them on fire.

A total of 44 FIRs have been registered so far on the basis of other complainants and 148 people have been arrested.

A case was registered against all the accused from Sanjay Nagar area near Talab Chowk Masjid.

Talking about the curfew in Khargone, the Commissioner of Indore Zone said: “The curfew will be in place at night, but soon the administration can take a decision to lift the curfew during the day.”

The Superintendent of Police, who is taking full responsibility of the city’s security, said earlier on Saturday that the curfew was relaxed twice a day.

He added that four people from Gujarat have been detained by the police in connection with the case of violence.

Stones were hurled at a Ram Navami procession in Madhya Pradesh's Khargone city earlier on April 10 triggering incidents of arson, prompting the authorities to impose curfews in some areas.
