''Kejriwal, Kejriwal, Saari Delhi Tere Naam'': AAP Workers Coin New Slogan Hailing Kejriwal's Win

The Aam Aadmi party garnered a thumping win in the Delhi Assembly polls after securing a massive mandate of the voters by crossing the majority mark with relative ease.

New Delhi: There was an atmosphere of jubilation and triumph within the ranks and file of the Aam Aadmi Party workers as hundreds of AAP volunteers welcomed their party chief Arvind Kejriwal at the office of the returning officer, where Kejriwal appeared to collect the poll certificate, they chanted "Kejriwal, Kejriwal, saari Delhi tere naam". Kejriwal came to the returning officer''s office in Gole Market after visiting the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place. The Aam Aadmi party garnered a thumping win in the Delhi Assembly polls after securing a massive mandate by crossing the majority mark with relative ease. As per the latest result trends, the party secured a whooping 62 out of the 70 Assembly seats and came out as front-runners in a three party race which left the BJP a distant second with 8 seats. Meanwhile, the Indian National Congress could not open its account for a second successive time and most of their candidates lost their deposits. The AAP is set to return to power to the national capital for the third time in succession. The Kejriwal led party had won 67 out of the 70 seats in the last elections in Delhi which were held in 2015. After losing Delhi Assembly polls and forfeiting its deposit on most seats the Congress on Tuesday held the "communal" campaign of BJP responsible for the results. Addressing the media at a press conference here, Congress' Delhi in-charge P.C. Chacko said, "We respect the verdict of the people Congress lost the election today. We accept the results with humility. There was a strong polarisation in Delhi. The result is also due to that. Every election is a test of democracy.
