Kashmir Police Share Video of Martyred Officer's Crying Daughter, Assure Terrorists Will Be Brought To Justice

New Delhi:  A video that shows a little girl crying after the demise of her father is being shared widely on social media. The young girl is the daughter of a Jammu and Kashmir Police officer who was martyred in the Bandipora terror attack on Friday evening.

The 23-second long video was shared by the Kashmir Zone Police's Twitter handle. “We stand by the family and assure that the terrorists responsible to make you orphan shall be soon brought to justice,” read the tweet.

The child in the video has been identified as Mohd. Sultan’s daughter who had died in the terror attack. As the investigation in the case goes on, the viral video does invoke emotions in the viewers as it reminds them of all those who have lost their lives. 

The incident took place on Friday evening at the Gulshan Chowk of Bandipora district of J&K. Two policemen lost their lives in the attacks. One of them was SgCT Mohd Sultan and the other one was CT Fayaz Ahmad. 

As per the J&K police, the militants opened fire at the policemen deployed at the Gulshan Chowk. The two policemen were injured and rushed to the hospital where they were declared dead on arrival by the doctors. 

“#Terrorists fired upon a police party at Gulshan Chowk area of #Bandipora. In this #terror incident, 02 police personnel namely SgCT Mohd Sultan & Ct Fayaz Ahmad got injured & attained #martyrdom. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow”: Kashmir police tweeted and informed about the attack.

The J&K police also said that the search for the militants who attacked the police is underway.
