J&K: College students remain seated when national anthem was played in University
The Kavindra Gupta, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said that the degree of these type of students should be canceled.
NEW DELHI: In a video shared online, some students of the Sher-e-Kashmir University were seen sitting when the national anthem was being played.
The incident happened during the convocation ceremony at the university hall where the majority of the students were seen standing while a few remain seated. The University denied that no such incident happened at the university premise.
BJP's Kavindra Gupta, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, said that the degree of people of this type should be canceled.
A similar incident took place in November last year when two students of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri were booked for disrespecting the national anthem.
