J&K: Local Militant Identified As Ishfaq Ahmad Dar Arrested In South Kashmir’s Pulwama District
Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a local militant in the Balow area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. The arrested militant is associated with the militant outfit, The Resistance Front (TRF).

A senior police officer told that a joint team of Police, army’s 44RR, and CRPF during Naka duty arrested a TRF militant in the Balow area during a search operation and recovered 2 grenades from his possession.
The arrested militant has been identified as Ishfaq Ahmad Dar son of Ali Mohd Dar resident of Khankabagh Pampore.
This development comes after The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday conducted searches at 10 locations in Kashmir valley, including the offices of a Srinagar based leading English daily 'Greater Kashmir'. The raids were conducted in two valley districts, Srinagar and Bandipora, and one location in Bangalore.
“The raids were in connection with a case pertaining to certain Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Trusts raising funds within the country and abroad in the name of charitable activities and then using those funds for carrying out secessionist and separatist activities in J&K,” NIA's official statement read.
The statement further claimed to have seized several incriminating documents and electronic devices from these locations.
