At least four terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian district.
The encounter broke out on Monday morning when the terrorists fired upon the security forces during a search operation in the Manihal area of the Shopian district. According to the details, the encounter was reported from South Kashmir's Manihal area.
"The two terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian were associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Two more terrorists are trapped at the encounter site. The operation is still underway" said Kashmir IG Vijay Kumar
The third terrorist has also been identified from Lashkar-e-Taiba.
According to reports, one army officer has been seriously injured in the encounter.
The joint operation is still underway.
