Irrfan Khan Death: Double Whammy For Family As Actor's Mother Had Passed Away Four Days Ago
Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan who passed away today was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani hospital on Tuesday following colon infection and was admitted to the ICU. Just four days ago, Irrfan Khan's mother Saeda Begum died on Saturday morning at the age of 83.
New Delhi: Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan who passed away today was rushed to Kokilaben Ambani hospital on Tuesday following colon infection and was admitted to the ICU. Just four days ago, Irrfan Khan's mother Saeda Begum died on Saturday morning at the age of 83. According to ANI, she was not keeping well for a long time. Saeda Begum was staying in the Beniwal Kanta Krishna Colony in Jaipur during her last days. Irrfan Khan could not attend his mother’s funeral as he was stuck in Mumbai, he was a part of the funeral through video conference, reports say.
Saeda Begum belonged to the royal family of Tonk, his father owned a tire business. Irrfan Khan wanted to be an actor since he was a child, he started out as a TV soap opera actor much to his disappointment, his first movie break was also cut away from Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay!, but later they went make movies like The Namesake and New York, I love you together. However his first was a break in British-Indian film The Warrior. Following his career blossomed in both Bollywood and Hollywood films, including Wes Anderson’s The Darjeeling Limited.

In 2011, he was awarded the Padma Shri - India's fourth-highest civilian honour for his contribution to the arts.
