What are the latest travel rules?
In fact, the travel rules have been simplified further with people under the age of 18, who have been fully vaccinated, will be able to enter England without self-isolating on arrival, the department for transport said on Monday.
From October 11, Indian travellers who received both doses of Covishield or another UK-approved vaccine at least 14 days before arrival in the UK can travel without having to quarantine; and are not be required to take a pre-departure test nor a day-eight test following arrival, authorities had said last month.
According to the new British guidelines on approved Covid-19 vaccines and the requisite proof of vaccination, India would be added to a “list of countries and territories with approved proof of vaccination [from] 4 am [on] Monday 11 October”.
In its updated travel rules, the UK also removed 47 countries and territories from its “red list”. From October 11, the red list will be reduced to seven countries, and proof of vaccination will be recognised from 37 new countries and territories, including India, Brazil, Ghana, Hong Kong, Pakistan, South Africa and Turkey.
