India beat Pakistan convincingly by 8 wickets
It's all over! After restricting Pakistan to 162, India chase down the target in 29 overs to beat the arch-rivals by eight wickets.
India vs Pakistan in Asia Cup 2018: In a contest where nerves were the X-factor between, India and Pakistan, the two arch-rivals, faced each in a crucial Asia Cup encounter amidst the extreme hot conditions in the Emirate of Dubai. Pakistan was coming in the match after an all-around performance against Hong Kong, whereas India struggled in its tournament opener against the associate nation on Tuesday before sealing an unimpressive win.
There were reports that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who arrived in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday as a part of his first official overseas trip, may reach Dubai to watch his country's group league encounter against India but he didn't turn up. The two countries were competing for the first time in the United Arab Emirates since 2006. The last time the two sides met was the Champions Trophy summit clash in England last year, with Pakistan winning the match by 180 runs.
Here's what happened:

- Pakistan now 5 down for 97 in 27 overs. Shoaib Malik back to pavilion for 43.
- Hardik Pandya stretchered off the field after collapsing in his follow through in the 18th over.
- Babar Azam and Shoaib Malik have started the rebuild for Pakistan. At the end of the powerplay after 10 overs, they're 25/2.
- Double blow from Bhuvneshwar Kumar reduces Pakistan to 4 for two in five overs. Pakistan openers back to pavilion.
- Twitter users are "surprised" with playing India's playing XI. They say KL Rahul should have been included in place of Kedar Jadhav.

Khaleeel Ahmed was inform bowler. Bhuvi was looking completely out of form.
KL Rahul is surely a better option@ no 3 than any of them. Also a good fielder. Terrible team selection. — Adil Maaz (@adilmz12) September 19, 2018
KL Rahul not included. That's harsh. How can talented player can be benched for such long time #AsiaCup2018 #INDvPAK

I must confess I thought KL Rahul would be no 3. The two changes though are predictable.
