IAS Athar Aamir Gets Engaged, Months After Tina Dabi's Marriage. Know About His Fiancee Dr Mehreen Qazi

IAS Athar Aamir Khan got engaged to Dr Mehreen Qazi on Saturday who is a native of Srinagar where the officer is posted.

New Delhi: IAS officer Tina Dabi’s ex-husband, Athar Aamir Khan got engaged to Dr. Mehreen Qazi. The couple exchanged rings on July 2—two months after Tina Dabi got hitched for the second time. Khan announced his engagement on Instagram on Sunday, posting his photo with Dr Qazi. She also shared a post on social media sharing the news of their special day. Who is Dr. Mehreen Qazi, Athar Khan's fiancé?

A native of Srinagar's Lal Bazar's Umar Colony, Mehreen is currently employed at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Center in Delhi. She graduated from universities in Germany and the UK with an MD in medicine. She describes herself as an achiever and a dreamer.

“Extensive experience in hospital and clinical settings. Strong background working with minority and low-income populations. Experience in diagnosing the disease and providing best medical help. Experts in surgery of trauma patient. Good experience in helping the general surgery. Expert in handling all outpatients & inpatients department” reads her bio on one of her social media pages according to The Tribune.

Besides, she is also active in the fashion industry and is often called “Beauty with brains”.  She is also quite popular on Instagram with over 2,47,000 followers.

She will soon be married to Athar Amir Khan who was married to IAS office Tina Dabi earlier.

Tina Dabi and Athar Khan's relationship

The IAS couple made a lot of headlines during their marriage. After dating for several years, Tina Dabi and Athar got married in 2018. According to media reports, the now-ex-couple first met in New Delhi, in 2015, at the IAS felicitation ceremony. The couple filed for divorce in a Jaipur court in November 2020, and it became final in August 2021.

Athar Aamir Khan cracked the UPSC exam in 2015, securing the second position while Tina Dabi was the topper in the same year. He is presently a commissioner in the Srinagar Municipal cooperation and the CEO of Srinagar Smart City Limited.

Tina Dabi's second marriage

In April 2022 Tina Dabi got married to Dr. Pradeep Gawande, an IAS officer, in a private ceremony in Jaipur, where they are both stationed. IAS Dr. Pradeep Gawande, who is three years older than Dabi, passed the civil services examinations in 2013. He is a licenced physician from Maharashtra. He earned his MBBS, before passing the UPSC exams.

Dr. Gawande is a member of the 2013 cadre, while Dabi is an officer from the Rajasthan cadre of 2016. They are both currently assigned to Jaipur.
