Hathras | Victim's Brother To ABP News: Heavy Force Deployed At Residence, Phones Of Family Members Seized

The brother of the Hathras victim, who somehow escaped the vigil, told ABP News that the entire family has been put under house arrest and they are not being allowed to speak to anyone and their phones have been switched off.

New Delhi: As ABP News’ team continues its unflagging attempt to visit the family of the victim of Hathras gangrape and murder, despite being stopped midway by the Uttar Pradesh Police, it has come to know that around 200 policemen have been deployed at the residence of the victim and the phones of family members have been forcefully switched off. The victim's brother told ABP News that he made his way  through the fields because around 200 policemen have surrounded the house and all the members of the family are scared. Watch here:  Action likely against officials: As per sources, it is likely that a strict action may be taken against the officials of Uttar Pradesh police who are allegedly involved in mishandling of the case. Earlier, additional SP of Hathras evaded the questions of ABP News. ASP Hathras Prakash Kumar told that any political delegation and media personnel will not be allowed in Hathras as long as the Special Investigation Team’s (SIT) probe is underway. Police misbehaved with ABP News’ team Earlier in the day, while trying to meet the family of victim, ABP News' Pratima Mishra and cameraperson Manoj Adhikari were forcefully taken into a Police vehicle and asked them not to report on the incident. The policemen misbehaved with both of them and failed to produce any order to bar them from entering the village.
