Hamirpur, UP: 22-year-old girl kidnaps groom from wedding venue at ‘gun point’

Uttar Pradesh: In an outrageous yet ‘courageous’ incident, a 22-year-old woman abducted a groom from his own wedding in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh. The woman who has been identified as Varsha Sahoo has been held by the cops and is undergoing an investigation. On the other hand, the groom Ashok Yadav has also been rescued by the cops and is being interrogated. Another man named Rahul who has been accused of helping Varsha in kidnapping the groom has also been arrested. As per a complaint filed at the police station, the girl abducted the groom at a gun point. As per the Varsha, she claims to be Ashok’s lover and know him for 8 years. Varsha, who is pursuing studies in Bachelors of Arts (B.A), didn’t seem afraid or tensed even after cops held her and started interrogation. In fact, she was seen smiling and blushing throughout on being asked about Ashok’s adbuction. As per Varsha, the marriage was taking place without Ashok’s consent and he didn’t want to marry the bride. The cops are yet to find out if Varsha’s claims are true or if she is cooking a false story.
