DGP Javeed Ahmed & UP CM Yogi Adityanath reach Lucknow's Hazratganj police station for inspection
New Delhi: Along with DGP Javeed Ahmed, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Thursday, reached Lucknow's Hazratganj police station for inspection.
Yogi checked the working process of the police station. He also inspected women police station.
Interestingly, in a separate by related incident the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has, on Thursday, advised MPs of the Uttar Pradesh not to put unnecessary pressure on the police department of the state.
They must keep themselves away from the process of transfer and posting as good governance is BJP's main motive, PM said.
It is pertinent to mention here that on Wednesday morning, a tweet by an IPS officer, attached to the DGP office in Lucknow, created headlines in media and is likely to ruffle a lot of feathers in the new elected government of Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh.
Himashu Kumar tweeted that senior police personnel in the state are under immense pressure to suspend and send to reserve lines all police personnel having ‘Yadav’ surname. He later on deleted the tweet.
