Delhi Weather | Capital To See More Rainfall During March, Temperature Likely To Rise
In such weather conditions, Delhi is predicted to see a partly cloudy sky and light showers of rain on Wednesday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
New Delhi: As the month of March begins, the temperature in Northwestern India also increased shredding the chilly winter. With more sunshine these days, Delhi sees clearer weather. However, the cloudy layers and rain seem to interrupt the arrival of the spring season with the Met department alerting more showers in the coming days.
Delhi is predicted to see a partly cloudy sky and light showers of rain on Wednesday night, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said.
As per the Met department’s update, due to the influence of a Western Disturbance, rainfall is likely in west Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi-NCR, and parts of west Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, it said.
It further said that the rain would probably continue till March 3, and a fresh wet spell is likely to influence northwestern India from March 5.

However, the rain would not impact the temperature much. As per the monthly temperature forecast of IMD, “above normal maximum temperatures are most likely over many parts of western and central India” during March.
According to news agency PTI, the Safdarjung Observatory, considered to be the official marker for the city, recorded a minimum temperature of 11.2 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 27 degrees Celsius, according to the MeT department, reported PTI.
Meanwhile, the AQI recorded in Delhi on Wednesday is in the poor category which is likely to slide to the ‘Moderate Category’.
