Delhi Murder Case: Aftab Was Restless And Aggressive, Says Doctor Who Treated His Knife Injury
Aftab allegedly strangled his live-in partner Shraddha Walkar in May and chopped her body into 35 pieces, a murder that has shocked the nation.
A Delhi doctor said Aftab Poonawalla, accused of murdering his partner and chopping her body into pieces, had visited him in May this year for treatment and he was "very aggressive and restless" while talking, ANI reported.
Aftab allegedly strangled Shraddha Walkar in May and chopped her body into 35 pieces. He kept the pieces in a 300-litre fridge for almost a month at his residence in south Delhi's Mehrauli before dumping them across the city over several days.
Dr Anil Singh, a surgeon, said Aftab claimed he got hurt while cutting fruit.
"He visited me in May when needed stitches on his right forearm. He was restless, aggressive while talking. He left after taking prescription," ANI quoted Singh as saying.

The doctor further said that the injury was "not deep but a superficial one", PTI reported,
"The underline structure was intact. When I asked him how he sustained this injury, he replied it was while he was cutting fruit. I did not have any doubt as it was a small clean knife cut," Dr Singh said.
Recalling his first interaction with Aftab, Dr Singh said the 28-year-old was a very bold and confident person.
"Two days ago, police brought him to my hospital and asked whether I treated this guy. I recognised him and said yes," he said.
"He looked in to my eyes while speaking. He was very bold and confident. He was speaking in English and told me he was from Mumbai and came to Delhi as the city has good opportunities in the IT sector," PTI quoted Dr Singh as saying.
On Tuesday, Delhi Police took Aftab to the forest area of south Delhi's Chhatarpur and spent nearly three hours to locate specific places where he had allegedly dumped Walkar's body parts.
Police has recovered 13 body parts, believed to be of the woman, from different areas. They have been sent for DNA analysis.
The police is also likely to approach authorities at online dating app Bumble through which both the accused and victim met, PTI reported.
"We want to access his account to analyse his profile and know how many women he was in contact with and screen the chats to understand his psyche. Based on the profile analysis we will also be approaching those people with whom he was in contact with and invited them to the same residence where he had killed the woman," a senior police official said.
